Karen Carlo Salinger is an artist/sculptor who works in such experimental tactile materials as flexible urethane and latex. Her forms are fluid and her subject matter off beat. Drawn to "the ooey, gooey... the creepy and the unusual" (her own words), Karen Carlo Salinger plays with opposing emotions such as fascination vs. repulsion the way many traditional artists explore the play between light and dark. There is humor in her work albeit often dark. |
