Christian Bernard Singer's installations explore the space that opens when our intellectual and emotional perceptions and experience converge. Nature is used to suggest the miracle and fragility of our own life forces to inspire awe, and to intensify/activate a visceral awareness of being alive and conscious. Incorporating plant life, bronze, clay, found objects, and digital media, his "living" installations oscillate between permanence and ephemera and turn on notions of interior/exterior space and place. |
